Abonmarche is seeking a Director of IT Operations in our South Bend, IN office.
Job Summary:
The Director of IT Operations is responsible for managing and overseeing the entire IT Operations team. The Director of IT Operations is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, which includes hardware, software, and network systems. This individual is the point person for any technical issues and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and security protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the IT Operations team to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Develop and implement IT strategies and policies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, systems, and security protocols.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and security protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, ensuring efficient operations and continuous improvement.
- Manage IT projects from initiation to completion, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services and support to internal stakeholders, meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and user expectations.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect company data and systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and overseeing service delivery.
- Develop and manage the IT department budget, monitoring expenditures and optimizing costs while maintaining service levels.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and solutions to enhance IT capabilities and support business innovation.
- Develop and maintain IT disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies to ensure resilience and minimize downtime.
- Monitor IT performance metrics, prepare regular reports for senior management, and provide insights for decision-making and continuous improvement.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in IT management or operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Strong technical proficiency in IT infrastructure, systems administration, network management, and cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex IT projects, including planning, execution, and risk management.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategies that support business objectives and drive operational efficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on resolving IT issues and optimizing processes.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
