Abonmarche is seeking an Architecture Intern in our South Bend, IN office.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Architecture Intern to join our team. This position offers hands-on experience in architectural design, drafting, project development, and construction documentation. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about design and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development of architectural designs and concepts.
Prepare detailed drawings, models, and 3D visualizations using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, or Twinmotion.
Conduct site visits, surveys, and assist in project documentation.
Research building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
Support senior architects in preparing presentations and client proposals.
Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, designers, and project managers.
Assist in material selection, specifications, and sustainability analysis.
Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas.
Education:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Architecture or a related field.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
None
Work Experience/Qualifications:
Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion or Twinmotion.
Strong design and visualization skills with attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sustainability principles.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Passion for architecture and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
